After falling last year the Crestview Cougars turned the tables on the Northwestern Huskies winning 29-0 in their home opener. With the win the Cougars start the year at 1-0, Northwestern 0-1.
Like Wynford, the Brunswick Blue Devils picked up their 30th win in their last 31 regular season games with 51-35 win over Mansfield Senior. Brunswick built a 51-6 lead then played backups for almost the entire second half in winning their opener. The Tygers will look to get win number one on the season next week at home against Sandusky.
After finishing at 8-3 a year ago, Lexington picked up where they left off last year by bouncing Mt.Vernon 49-7. For coach B.J. Payne his club won their third straight opener. The Minutemen will entertain the Shelby Whippets next week in a battle of two teams with 1-0 records.
The Crestline Bulldogs slipped past the Northmor Knights Friday evening by a final of 14-7 to win their opener. Crestline will stay at home next week to take on Fredericktown, while Northmor will be at home against Marion Pleasant.
